Mogadishu, 10-02-2024: President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud hosted prominent Somali religious scholars for consultative meeting as part of the Government’s ongoing ideological offensive against the terrorists.
The President emphasised the Government’s unwavering commitment to eradicate the menace of terrorism, reiterating its principle duty to protect the Somali people’s Islamic faith and the critical role of the scholars in supporting the efforts to counter the spread of extremist ideologies in the country.
The scholars shared valuable insights with the President, offering guidance on enhancing state-building efforts, advancing development, and safeguarding the country’s terrorial integrity and sovereignty.
