President Hassan Sheikh Arrives in Jowhar and Inaugurates Key Development Projects and Public Facilities

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, arrived today in Jowhar, the capital of Hirshabelle State, where he inaugurated a series of development projects and public facilities aimed at strengthening public service delivery and supporting the region’s development.

Accompanied by the Leader of Hirshabelle State of Somalia, Mr. Ali Abdullahi Hussein, President Hassan Sheikh officially inaugurated the newly constructed Villa Hirshabelle, as well as the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance buildings.

The President also commissioned newly paved roads that will improve urban mobility and enhance the appearance and connectivity of the city.

Speaking during the visit, President Hassan Sheikh noted that the implementation of these projects reflects the commitment of the Hirshabelle leadership to strengthening government institutions, expanding economic infrastructure, and improving the quality of services provided to citizens.

The President also laid the foundation stone for the new Hirshabelle Civil Service Commission headquarters and other government facilities, which are expected to play an important role in enhancing public administration, institutional effectiveness, and the delivery of essential services.
